Inter are among a host of top European clubs who are interested in signing Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino on a free transfer at the end of the season.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the 31-year-old has been one of the Nerazzurri’s potential targets to replace Romelu Lukaku if they do not extend the Belgian’s loan, whilst teams in La Liga and Serie A rivals Juventus are also keen.

Firmino confirmed today in talks with Liverpool that he does not have any intention of signing a new contract with the Premier League giants, and will be leaving when his current deal expires at the end of June.

The Brazilian former Hoffenheim forward has already been linked with Inter, with the Nerazzurri reportedly having earmarked him as a possible reinforcement in attack in the event that Lukaku does not stay at the club next season.

Meanwhile, the likes of Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are keeping tabs on Firmino according to the Gazzetta, whilst other top European clubs could emerge to try and sign him as he seeks a new challenge following eight seasons with the Reds.
