Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin believes that it would be much more likely that Bologna’s Thiago Motta would replace Simone Inzaghi as Inter coach in the summer than Roma’s Jose Mourinho or Bologna’s Thiago Motta.

Speaking on Twitch, via FCInter1908, the journalist explained that, despite rumours linking the latter two as possible replacements for Inzaghi, it is actually Motta who would be the prime candidate.

Whilst it is far from certain that Inzaghi would leave Inter at the end of the current season, the feeling is that his future will be decided based on the team’s performances over the coming weeks.

Former Inter coach Jose Mourinho has been rumoured as one possible replacement, whilst former Inter and Lazio winger Conceicao has been another.

According to Biasin, however, the real candidate to replace Inzaghi would be another former Nerazzurri player in the form of former midfielder Motta.

“If things don’t go well for Inzaghi at the end of the season, I believe that there would be a good possibility of Thiago Motta coming in,” the journalist explained of the situation.

“Less likely to me would be Mourinho or Conceicao,” he added.
