Italian journalist Gianni Riotta believes that there is real interest from the United States in potentially taking over Inter from current owners Suning.
Speaking to Italian broadcaster Radio Nerazzurra, via FCInter1908, the journalist claimed that from what he understands, there is no shortage of interest from the US in particular, and also other countries abroad, in buying the Nerazzurri.
Whilst Inter have been persistently linked with a transfer of ownership over the past couple of years, no concrete buyer has yet stepped forward.
However, there have been many rumblings to suggest that the interest is there, with funds in the US among the obvious potential buyers.
According to Italian journalist Riotta, this is true, although the journalist did not go into any more specifics than this.
The journalist explained that “My son works on Wall Street, and he is also a big Inter fan.”
He continued by noting that “We talk about it all the time, and according to him there is a lot of interest from funds in the US, and also from international ones.”
Riotta concluded that “Until the Zhang family makes the decision to sell, however, it could be hard for this to come to anything concrete.”
