Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi feels that the team is prepared to rebound from their loss to Bologna last weekend as they have done everything they can not to repeat their mistakes in that match.

Speaking to InterTV, via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri coach also made clear that he and his players are not underestimating the difficulty of tomorrow’s match against a tough and in-form Lecce team.

Inter faced yet another painful setback in the league in the form of last weekend’s loss away to Bologna.

The Nerazzurri will have the chance to turn it around immediately by beating Lecce tomorrow, although the Puglian teams have proven to be a tough nut to crack in Serie A this season.

For his part, Inter coach Inzaghi is expecting a tough match, but one that his team will be well-prepared for.

“We come into this match feeling some anger, we can’t wait to get out on the pitch,” the coach said.

“After the match against Bologna, we analyzed the mistakes we made and learned from them, in order to put the inconsistency we’ve suffered from we have to show focus and a determined mentality, starting tomorrow,” he continued.

Inzaghi said that he expects the team’s reaction to show that “The team are great guys, and a great group.”

He went on that “The match against Lecce will be difficult as they’re in form, they play excellent football and are having an excellent season.”

“We will have to stay absolutely switched-on,” he added.

Inzaghi noted of his squad that “The players are very open to changing roles considering how often we have to play, and the suspensions and injuries that we have to deal with.”

And asked what his biggest regret of the season so far is, the coach responded that “We could have done better in the league, but we also have to not forget about all the positive things that we’ve done in the past eighteen months.”
