Inter will be looking to lower the average age of the squad during the summer transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInter1908, who report that the Nerazzurri’s priority this summer will be to sign younger players, with Atalanta defender Giorgio Scalvini and Valencia midfielder Yunus Musah among their targets.

Inter’s squad currently has the highest average age in Serie A, a reflection of the fact that so many recent signings have been of more experienced players rather than those with room to grow.

Accordingly, as the team look to make signings to replace some outgoing players during the summer transfer window, one of the features that they will be prioritizing is youth.

Atalanta defender Scalvini is only 19 years old, and whilst the Atalanta defender will hardly be easy to sign given his high price tag, Inter have made him a major target.

Meanwhile, Valencia midfielder Musah is another young player on the Nerazzurri’s radar, with the feeling being that he can be built around for years to come.
