Inter could be hoping that home advantage plays in their favour in the race for top four in Serie A over the remaining matches this season, as three of their most important fixtures will be at the San Siro.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who note that matches against direct rivals Juventus, Atalanta, and Lazio are all set to take place in Milan as the Nerazzurri seek to wrap up a Champions League place.

Whilst Inter’s home form has not been flawless this season, the sense has certainly been that the team much prefer their own stadium to mount a big performance in their toughest matches.

Wins over the likes of Barcelona and Napoli have come in front of a raucous San Siro crowd, whilst the league win over AC Milan came in the “home derby.”

Given that the race for a top four spot in Serie A appears to be more open than ever after Lazio reasserted themselves as contenders by dealing Napoli only their second defeat of the league season, Inter will know how fine the margins will be.

Accordingly, the ability to face the Biancocelesti, as well as Juventus and Atalanta at the San Siro rather than in away trips, could prove to be a massive boost.
