San Siro is getting close to a sell-out crowd for tomorrow evening’s Serie A match between Inter and Lecce.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that over 70,000 tickets for tomorrow’s match have already been purchased.
Inter will be hoping for raucous support from their fans as they seek to bounce back from last Sunday’s Serie A defeat away to Bologna.
In this sense, they should get the kind of crowd that they want at the San Siro, as the tickets sold are already suggesting that a sell-out could be on the horizon, with over 70,000 spectators already expected at the stadium for the match.
Meanwhile, the Gazzetta notes, whether or not the match actually ends up being sold out fully could come down to whether away fans are allowed in the stadium.
After an initial ban was handed out on travelling Lecce supporters in the stadium, the Puglian club overturned it on appeal meaning that 4361 ticket holders could be in the away end.
However, local authorities are still aiming to uphold the ban.
