Inter wingback Robin Gosens feels that he is on the right track, and that now he just needs to find more consistency over the coming matches.

Speaking to InterTV after the team’s 2-0 win over Lecce, via FCInterNews, the German stressed that the important thing is that he has been doing what he loves, and that he hopes to work to string more good performances together.

Gosens has put in two very solid displays down Inter’s left flank during his first two consecutive starts for the Nerazzurri.

Whilst the 28-year-old former Atalanta man has been behind Ivan Perisic and then Federico Dimarco in the pecking order in his position since joining, there have still been high expectations of him given the quality that he showed whilst playing for La Dea.

Whilst Gosens is not yet truly at his best in his past couple of performances, he is starting to look as though he can establish a place for himself in the team.

“It’s very important for me to have gotten out on the pitch again, and to start having some consistency,” the German said.

“I’m very happy that the coach put his trust in me twice in a row.”

“It’s what I’ve needed, and today we deservedly won the match,” he added.

Gosens made clear that “I feel very happy, I’m showing the kind of match-fitness that I want to, I’m doing what I love.”
