Inter finally look to have the “real Robin Gosens” back, and this could be a big boost for both the player and the team.
This is the view in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInter1908, who praise the 28-year-old for his recent performances and note the significance of his finding this kind of form more than twelve months after he arrived at the Nerazzurri.
Whilst Gosens has had one or two really positive moments in an Inter shirt already, not least the goals he scored against AC Milan in the Coppa Italia and Barcelona in the Champions League this time around, the sense is that he has not shown why the Nerazzurri signed him.
The German had been considered to be one of the best players in his position in Serie A, if not in all of Europe, whilst playing for Atalanta.
Whilst Gosens has not exactly reached this level again just yet, the sense is that he is getting closer and closer, and that he now looks like the “real” version of himself rather than a lesser copy.
