Legendary former Inter midfielder Esteban Cambiasso is expecting the second leg of the Nerazzurri’s Champions League round of sixteen tie against Porto to be a great encounter.

Speaking to journalists at a charity dinner for Javier Zanetti’s Pupi Foundation, via L’Interista, the Argentine gave his thoughts ahead of the Nerazzurri’s match against the Portuguese champions in just over a week.

Inter managed to take a 1-0 advantage into the second leg of their Champions League tie against Porto.

This is the slenderest possible advantage that the Nerazzurri could possibly take into the match, whilst they will be well aware of how difficult it will be to travel to the Estadio do Dragao to face Porto.

However, it represents a hugely significant opportunity for Inter, and for his part Treble-winning former midfielder Cambiasso is very much looking forward to it.

“It will be a great match,” he predicted, “it’ll be tough.”

“Porto are a team that always battle, they have quality and intensity,” he said of the Nerazzurri’s opposition.

“We go into it with an advantage that’s not exactly huge, but it’s still an advantage, and we have to hope,” the former midfielder added.
