Inter wingback Denzel Dumfries may have notched an assist in yesterday evening’s 2-0 win over Lecce, but apart from that the Dutchman had looked some way off his best.

This is the view in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who gave the 26-year-old a score of 6.5/10 for his performance in the player ratings for the match.

In truth, Dumfries had something of a torrid first half of yesterday’s match at times, with the former PSV man’s first touch letting him down at times as he failed to offer a real outlet down the Nerazzurri’s right flank.

In the second, the Dutchman came alive, and it was his well-timed run and accurate cross that set up Lautaro Martinez for the Nerazzurri’s second goal to seal the win.

However, for Tuttosport this alone was not enough to erase the impression that it was another erratic performance on the whole from Dumfries.
