AC Milan have joined Inter in making Barcelona-owned defender Samuel Umtiti a possible target for the upcoming transfer window.

This according to Spanish news outlet Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the competition for the 29-year-old Frenchman’s signature is becoming more crowded as the Rossoneri are also viewing him as a possible summer signing.

Umtiti has been reportedly on Inter’s radar as a possible low-cost summer signing in defense, with the Nerazzurri looking for a replacement for Milan Skriniar and also potentially for Francesco Acerbi or Stefan de Vrij as well.

The 29-year-old has been on loan at Lecce this season, where he has caught the eye of both of the Milan clubs according to Sport.

It would still remain to be seen whether either Inter or Milan will convince the Blaugranas on the right formula for a deal to sign the 2018 World Cup winner, who has been out of favour at the Camp Nou.
