Former Inter defender Fabio Galante feels that it’s unfortunate that the Nerazzurri are set to lose Milan Skriniar, whilst he doesn’t see missing out on Bremer last summer as a regret.

Speaking to reporters outside the Junior Time Cup, via FCInterNews, Galante gave his thoughts on two recent transfer sagas involving the Nerazzurri.

Inter’s defense looks to be in flux over the past few months, with the failure to sign Bremer from Torino ahead of Juventus and the decision of Skriniar to leave at the end of the season both upending the club’s plans for the backline.

For his part, Galante is disappointed with these situations, but ultimately does not see them as reasons for too much regret.

Asked about Skriniar’s decision to leave, the former defender said that “I’m sad to see him go.”

“He’s a great player, I’m sorry to see that he no longer feels that he belongs here but he’s always given his all,” he added.

“I’m sure that the club will find other top players to replace him, though,” Galante argued.

Additionally, regarding Bremer Galante stated that “I don’t see it as a regret that the team missed out on him, as we still have great defenders like de Vrij, Skriniar, Acerbi, and Bastoni.”
