Inter are likely to extend the loan of striker Samuele Mulattieri to Frosinone at the end of the season, presuming that the Lazio-based team are promoted to Serie A.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the Nerazzurri’s plan for the 21-year-old would be for him to continue his development on loan, and that there is virtually no chance of his being part of the Nerazzurri’s senior squad next season.

Mulattieri has enjoyed a very positive loan spell with Frosinone so far.

The young Nerazzurri-owned striker’s goals and performances have been vital to the team’s push for promotion to the Italian top flight, as they currently sit top of the Serie B table.

Whilst Inter have been closely monitoring Mulattieri’s performances for Frosinone, they feel that the best thing for him would be to get his first experience in Serie A with the club he is currently at.

There were also offers for Mulattieri from teams in Serie A during the January transfer window of this season, but the feeling had been that continuing to play on loan at Frosinone was the best thing for the striker’s development.
