It is no longer as certain as it had been previously that striker Edin Dzeko will be offered a contract extension by Inter.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, whop report that the Nerazzurri will take some time to reflect and assess the 36-year-old’s performances over the next few weeks before they decide whether to offer a new deal.

Dzeko’s current contract with Inter is set to run out at the end of June.

Whilst the Bosnian former Roma and Mancheseter City striker’s form earlier on in the campaign had made it seem very probable indeed that he would be offered a new deal, and reports suggested that on the player’s end there was a desire to stay, this no longer looks as certain.

According to the Gazzetta, looking at Dzeko’s recent lack of goals, the Nerazzurri will take their time in making a decision regarding whether or not he will continue to be part of their plans in attack heading into next season.
