Current Inter Loan Player Manager Gianluca Andrissi has emerged as the new favourite to replace Roberto Samaden as the head of the Nerazzurri’s youth academy at the end of the season.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 59-year-old could be promoted from within as the Nerazzurri look to decide on a succession plan for Samaden.

Whilst a number of candidates from outside the club have been considered to be brought in to replace Samaden who has told the club he’ll be stepping down as head of the youth academy, there is also the possibility of someone already at Inter.

Andrissi has been at the Nerazzurri since 2020, when he was brought in at the request of Sporting Director Piero Ausilio to become the club’s Loan Player Manager.

The 59-year-old’s current role has entailed monitoring and analyzing the development of Inter-owned players on loan at other clubs.

Andrissi has also held directorial roles at a number of other clubs in the past, including Monza, Como, Renate, Spezia, and Feralpisalo.
