Inter are not currently planning to sign wingback Raoul Bellanova on a permanent basis from Cagliari during the upcoming summer transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri would have little interest in triggering the €7 million purchase option at the end of the 22-year-old’s loan deal.

Bellanova has found his playing time decreasing, if anything, over the last few weeks at Inter.

Whilst it had never been expected that the Cagliari-owned wingback would become a fixture in Inter’s starting eleven during his first season at the club, there is little indication that he has the trust of coach Simone Inzaghi.

Moreover, the 22-year-old’s poor display as a substitute in the second half of a loss to Empoli in January seems to have only dented his confidence, whilst the San Siro did not hesitate to make their disapproval known.

Accordingly, the Gazzetta reports, a return to Cagliari at the end of the season is probable for Bellanova, whilst Inter will look for other solutions at right-wingback, a position which could also see Denzel Dumfries on his way out in the summer.
