Inter are interested in signing young Empoli midfielder Tommaso Baldanzi, who could leave the Stadio Carlo Castellani in the summer of 2024.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 19-year-old is very much on the Nerazzurri’s radar, but that Empoli would want to keep him until the end of next season at least.
Building around young Italian players remains an aspect of Inter’s future plans, with players like Atalanta defender Giorgio Scalvini among their major targets.
In this sense, Baldanzi is also a player who the Nerazzurri are tracking.
The 19-year-old has broken out in Empoli’s first team this season with some excellent performances, including his match-winning display and goal against Inter in January.
The Tuscans would want to keep hold of Baldanzi for at least one more season.
Accordingly, a move would not be likely to come at the end of the current campaign, but at the end of the next one Inter could be poised to move.
