Inter’s final two away matches before the March international break will present a real test of the team’s ability to finally put their persistent struggles in matches away from the San Siro behind them.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who suggest that the Nerazzurri will have to finally reproduce the kinds of performances they regularly do at home in away matches against Spezia in Serie A and Porto in the Champions League.

Inter’s form at the San Siro has hardly been a doubt for the team this season.

However, away from home it has been a mixture of passable results and slip-ups, with the latest having come against Bologna at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.

This evening, the Nerazzurri travel to Liguria to face Spezia at the Stadio Alberto Picco, a match where they will know that it won’t be straightforward against the relegation-battlers.

Next Tuesday, it will be the cauldron of the Estadio do Dragao in Porto where the Nerazzurri will be desperate to get a result and reach the quarterfinals of the Champions League.

In a season which has seen Inter fail to keep the momentum from their biggest performances up in “smaller” matches, and which has above all been characterized by a gap between home and away form, these two matches will either see the team prove themselves, or their struggles under a magnifying glass.
