Legendary former Inter goalkeeper Julio Cesar expects that the second leg of the Nerazzurri’s Champions League round of sixteen tie against Porto will be anything but easy, but he still believes they can find a way.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Amazon Prime Video ahead of next week’s match, via FCInterNews, the Treble-winning Brazilian gave his thoughts ahead of next Tuesday’s match away in Portugal.

Inter gave themselves an advantage to take to Porto with their win in the first leg of the round of sixteen tie against the Portuguese champions, but only a very slender one.

There is still a great deal of work to do protecting that advantage against a team who have always proven to be formidable in European competition.

For his part, former Nerazzurri goalkeeper Cesar is expecting that Tuesday’s match will be a very imposing one, but he backs his old side to get the job done.

“It will be tough at the Dragao, Porto will play a very difficult match but as a fan, I have faith,” Cesar said.

The Brazilian also gave his thoughts on Benfica midfielder Joao Mario, formerly of the Nerazzurri, noting that “He’s hardly the same player he was at Inter, he looks like a much better player now.”
