Inter-linked coach Antonio Conte could soon become available again, as his time in charge of Tottenham Hotspur appears to be heading in the direction of an inevitable end.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who note that the 53-year-old now has the worst points-per-match record of any coach in charge of the London-based club since 2010.

If there have been a few positive flashes on show from Spurs under Conte, it would be hard to claim that the coach has reached anything like the heights that he had done when in charge of any of Juventus, Chelsea, or Inter.

The Londoners’ exit from the Champions League at the hands of AC Milan, the final knockout competition they had left to play for this season, has really turned up the pressure on the former Nerazzurri coach.

However, as the Corriere point out, it is also Spurs’ erratic form in the Premier League that has really cast doubt on Conte’s capacity to lead the team.

Since taking over in November of 2021, the 53-year-old has managed to take an average of just 1.77 points per match across all competitions, the lowest of any coach in charge of the club since 2010.
