Inter wingback Robin Gosens has suffered a calf injury in training ahead of the team’s Champions League round of sixteen second leg match away to Porto.

This is confirmed by the Nerazzurri on their official website, where the club update the the 28-year-old underwent medical tests today which showed a strain to the medial gastrocnemius muscle in his left leg, and that he will be further assessed over the coming days.

Gosens has started each of Inter’s last three matches in Serie A, against the likes of Bologna, Lecce, and Spezia.

Federico Dimarco had been unavailable for the first of the three through injury, whilst he was only available for the bench in Friday’s loss away to Spezia.

However, it now looks unlikely that the German former Atalanta wingback will be available for tomorrow evening’s match against Porto.

As far as Gosens’s condition for the Nerazzurri’s Serie A match against Juventus and subsequent league fixtures after the international break, further updates will be needed.
