Inter defender Milan Skriniar has given the go-ahead to be called up for tomorrow evening’s Champions League round of sixteen second leg match away to Porto.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 28-year-old is likely to be in the squad for tomorrow’s match, although it is far from certain that he will start.
Skriniar has missed Inter’s past three Serie A matches with a back injury, although it is now thought to be all but healed up.
This does not necessarily mean that the former Sampdoria defender will be fully fit for tomorrow’s match away in Portugal, but given that he is recovered he should at least be ready to be part of the squad.
According to the Gazzetta, this is the indication that the Slovakian gave the coach Simone Inzaghi.
Given that Skriniar has now gone three matches without an appearance, it is far from certain that he’d be ready to be in the starting eleven tomorrow, but it is probable that he will at the very least be on the bench.
