Inter look to have four possible candidates lined up in order to replace Roberto Samaden as the head of their youth academy when he steps down at the end of the current season.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who name Atalanta Academy Director Maurizio Costanzi, Sassuolo Academy Manager Francesco Palmieri, former right-hand man of Leonardo at Paris Saint-Germain Angelo Castellazzi, and SPAL Academy Manager Andrea Catellani as possible replacements.

Whilst it is now all but confirmed that Samaden will step down from his role at Inter at the end of the season, less certain is who will take his place in the position.

Atalanta’s Costanzi has emerged as a serious candidate, and whilst it had been expected that he would join Bologna at the end of the current season, he is now on Inter’s radar, and there have been serious contacts.

Meanwhile, former Lecce striker Palmieri has been praised for the work that he has done in charge of the youth system at Sassuolo, and he is another possibility being considered by the Nerazzurri.

Meanwhile, Castellazzi has held positions for the likes of Unione Venezia and Antalyaspor, and between 2019 and 2022 worked alongside former Nerazzurri and AC Milan coach Leonardo at PSG.

Lastly, SPAL Academy Manager Catellani is another candidate who the Nerazzurri are considering to replace Samaden according to the Gazzetta.
