Should penalties become a factor in Inter’s Champions League round of sixteen second leg match against Porto, they could be relying on the solid record of keeper Andre Onana at saving efforts from the spot.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who note that the 26-year-old has saved six of the 32 penalties that he’s face in his career, but warn that the inconsistent form of Lautaro Martinez on penalty duty could come back to haunt the Nerazzurri.

During his career, Onana has faced a total of 32 penalties, and the Cameroonian has kept nearly 20% of them out.

This makes him about as effective an option as Inter could hope for should Porto be awarded a penalty during the match, or should the tie go to a shootout.

On the other hand, however, the six missed by Martinez out of 17 taken in total could be a problem, which was highlighted by the Argentine’s costly miss against Spezia on Friday.
