Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni is set to have his fitness evaluated tomorrow in view of the Nerazzurri’s Serie A match against Juventus over the weekend.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri squad has been given the day off to rest today, but that the 23-year-old’s condition will be evaluated tomorrow after he had to come off the pitch in the second half against Porto yesterday evening.

Bastoni started yesterday evening’s goalless draw at the Estadio do Dragao in the Champions League and made it much of the way, but had to come off as a substitute during the second half due to feeling some discomfort.

It is not yet certain whether the 23-year-old’s problem was nothing more than a bit of minor muscular fatigue, or whether there was a more serious underlying injury behind it.

According to FCInterNews, when the squad return to training tomorrow, Bastoni will be assessed to determine whether he will likely to be fit for Sunday’s match against Juventus.
