Inter have begun serious talks with the agent of Club Brugge wingback Tajon Buchanan regarding a possible summer transfer.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that Nerazzurri Sporting Director Piero Ausilio has met with sports agency GG11, who represent the 24-year-old Canadian international as well as a few other players.

Buchanan is a serious target for Inter, who have been scouting his performance since his arrival at Club Brugge as well as for the Canadian international team, particularly at the World Cup.

The 24-year-old is reportedly seen as having the right qualities to replace Denzel Dumfries if the Dutchman is sold in the summer.

To this end, Tuttosport, the Nerazzurri have already started laying the groundwork in talks with the player’s representatives.

Ausilio met with the GG11 agency, with a number of players under discussion.

One was young Inter-owned goalkeepeer Brazao, who is currently out on loan at SPAL.

Another is Red Bull Salzburg defender Oumar Solet, a prospective target in defense.

However, Tuttosport reports, the main focus of Ausilio’s talks with GG11 representatives has been on the future of Buchanan, with the Nerazzurri executive making clear that he is seen as a target.
