Inter and Juventus are set to go head-to-head for the signature of West Ham United striker Gianluca Scamacca should he be up for sale this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 24-year-old could leave the London Stadium in the summer transfer window, and that the Nerazzurri and the Bianconeri would both be very keen.

Scamacca only joined West Ham from Sassuolo last summer, but there are already questions about his future with the Premier League club.

The Italian international has not been a consistent starter for the Hammers, and his performances have come in fits and starts.

For this reason, there is a sense that a summer exit is a real possibility for the 24-year-old.

Inter had already been interested in signing Scamacca when he was a Sassuolo player, having been in serious talks with the Neroverdi for months prior to his move to West Ham.

Meanwhile, the Gazzetta reports, Juventus would also be interested in signing the 24-year-old striker, particularly in the event that Dusan Vlahovic were to leave at the end of the season.
