Juventus defender Federico Gatti is anticipating a difficult match against Inter on Sunday, but he believes that the Bianconeri will be prepared for it.

Speaking to reporters following his team’s win over Freiburg in the Europa League, as reported by FCInterNews, the 24-year-old suggested that moving onto the next round of the Europa League against the German team can give he and his teammates a boost as they face the Nerazzurri.

Both Inter and Juventus will go into Sunday’s Derby d’Italia match at the San Siro knowing that, even if their respective league campaigns have been far from perfect, they are still alive in European competition.

Whereas the Nerazzurri are in the last eight of Europe’s top club competition after their draw against Porto on Tuesday, the Bianconeri are fighting for the continent’s secondary knockout trophy, hoping to overcome the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal among others.

“We have to regain our energy right away because Sunday will be a very tough match,” Gatti said, “but I think that this win can also help us.”
