Inter could move for Red Bull Salzburg defender Oumar Solet as a replacement for Milan Skriniar, as Bayern Munich’s Benjamin Pavard may prove to be out of reach.

This according to Italian journalist Marco Barzaghi, who reported in a YouTube video on his official channel that the Nerazzurri are tracking the 23-year-old who would cost around €15 million, and that they are also admirers of his versatility in defense.

Inter’s search for a summer signing who can take the place of Skriniar when the Slovakian leaves for Paris Saint-Germain is now in full swing.

Whilst Pavard had been a target during the January transfer and has been reported to still be on Inter’s list for possible summer signings, the Frenchman may prove difficult to sign given the fact that Bayern Munich do not want to lose hold of him.

Accordingly, the Nerazzurri will be looking elsewhere for possible alternatives, and according to Barzaghi Solet would be one real possbility.

“He’s valued at around €15 million, Inter have observed him playing on several occasions,” the journalist explained of Solet.

“They’re fans of him,” he said of the Frenchman.

“The Nerazzurri have a positive relationship with the Austrian club,” Barzaghi noted.

“Additionally, as with Chalobah he can also play in the centre of a back three,” he continued of Solet.

“He could be the replacement for Skriniar, particularly because Bayern are ready to keep hold of Pavard, who seemed to be one step away from Inter in January but now they don’t want to sell him.”
