Inter, AC Milan, and Napoli all find themselves well outside of the elite in European football in terms of their revenues, despite the fact that they have reached the quarterfinals of the Champions League alongside some of the continent’s best.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, who note that the Serie A trio, along with Benfica, are all well outside the top ten sides in Europe for revenues.

The likes of Manchester City, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Chelsea are all among the top ten highest earners in Europe in terms of revenues.

The quartet’s revenues for the 2021-22 season were €731 million, €720 million, €654 million, and €568 million respectively.

Meanwhile, for Inter and Milan those numbers are €310 million and €258 million respectively, putting the duo just within the top fifteen in Europe.

Benfica’s revenues for the 2021-22 season were €197 million, and Napoli’s were €152 million, but this has not prevented either from shining as they’ve earned their place in the last eight of Europe’s top club competition.
