Inter are set to be stretched thin defensively when they face Juventus in Serie A over the weekend.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who note that Alessandro Bastoni’s injury will already make things tough for the Nerazzurri, and this could be compounded if Milan Skriniar isn’t fully fit.

Bastoni will not be in the squad on Sunday, as the 23-year-old’s injury suffered against Porto earlier this week is set to be serious enough to keep him from being called up.

This on its own would make for a selection headache for Inter coach Simone Inzaghi.

However, the coach would likely be able to shift things around to make up for Bastoni’s absence if he were not dealing with any other fitness problems.

The doubt regarding Skriniar’s fitness, however, with the 28-year-old reportedly still dealing with some discomfort related to the back injury that he has only just returned from, could make things much more difficult for the Inter coach.
