Inter defender Milan Skriniar is set to miss out on his team’s Serie A match against Juventus through a back injury.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the 28-year-old has suffered a recurrence of the back problem that had affected him prior to the match against Porto this week, and that he will not be risked against the Bianconeri.

Skriniar was able to make an appearance from the bench during the second half Inter’s Champions League round of sixteen second leg match away to Porto on Tuesday.

However, after that match the Slovakian suffered a recurrence of the back issue that had kept him out of Serie A matches against Bologna, Lecce, and Spezia.

Accordingly, the Gazzetta report, the Nerazzurri will not risk Skriniar’s fitness against Juventus this weekend.

Therefore, it will likely be Matteo Darmian, Stefan de Vrij, and Francesco Acerbi who form the Nerazzurri’s back three against the Bianconeri, with Alessandro Bastoni also injured for the match.

On the flanks, Denzel Dumfries and Federico Dimarco will start.
