Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu has been called up to the Turkish national team’s squad for their EURO 2024 qualifiers against Armenia and Croatia for later this month.

This is confirmed in a tweet by the Turkish FA, which lists the entire squad list for the two fixtures during the upcoming international break, including the Nerazzurri midfielder who is the captain of his international team.

Turkey will get their qualifying campaign for the upcoming Euros underway during the international break, with qualifying matches against the likes of Armenia and Croatia.

Calhanoglu, who inherited the captain’s armband for his national team following the retirement of Turkey’s previous captain Burak Yilmaz, is one of the team’s key players in central midfield just as he has become for his club side Inter.

As such, the 29-year-old will be part of the squad as Turkey look to get their qualifying campaign underway in the most positive way.
