Inter wingback Denzel Dumfries has been called up for the Dutch national team for their EURO 2024 qualifiers against France and Gibraltar, whilst his Nerazzurri teammate Stefan de Vrij misses out.

This is confirmed in an announcement of the entire squad list called up by Oranje coach Ronald Koeman for the team’s two matches during the international break later this month, via the Dutch FA’s official Twitter.

Dumfries has established himself as a regular for his national team under both Frank de Boer and also Louis van Gaal, and signs suggest that he will remain so under Koeman.

The 26-year-old former PSV wingback will be a part of the former Barcelona and Southampton coach’s first squad since returning to take over from van Gaal.

Meanwhile, Inter defender de Vrij misses out.

The 31-year-old former Lazio and Feyenoord defender did not play a minute at the World Cup in Qatar despite having been in the squad, and he will not even be in the squad for the upcoming matches later this month.
