Inter defender Danilo D’Ambrosio could be used as a second half substitute for Federico Dimarco at left-wingback in this evening’s Serie A match against Juventus.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 34-year-old could come off the bench for Dimarco as he did against Porto, with Robin Gosens still out injured.

Dimarco is the only specialist left-wingback currently fit in Inter’s squad, meaning that there is no question that it will be the 25-year-old who starts on the left against the Bianconeri this evening.

However, there are questions around whether Dimarco will be able to see out the full ninety minutes.

Accordingly, the Corriere reports, it could be D’Ambrosio who is called upon to slot into the position during the second half of the Derby d’Italia match this evening, as he had done in the Champions League round of sixteen second leg against Porto on Tuesday.
