Italian journalist Paolo Condo feels that the return of several players to fitness and to the starting eleven has not really given any additional quality to Inter’s team.

Writing in his column published in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, via FCInterNews, Condo suggested that the presence of Marcelo Brozovic, Denzel Dumfries, and Joaquin Correa has not given the Nerazzurri any new dimensions.

Given the packed fixture list across three difference competitions that awaits Inter on the other side of the international break, the Nerazzurri will know perfectly well that they need more than just a strong starting eleven.

The presence of some players coming back from injury has looked potentially helpful in this respect, whilst the Nerazzurri will also be hoping that the defensive injury crisis that they’ve faced in the past couple matches will subside after the break.

However, Condo suggests, it does not look like having fresh players available is any guarantee of quality for Inter.

“Inzaghi has gotten nothing from the players he’s tried to bring back in,” he argues, “Brozovic, Dumfries, Correa.”

“But the pace in April will be intense, particularly with the Coppa Italia as well.”

“To keep up with it, Inter need to get the absolute maximum out of their squad, including Skriniar,” he argues.
