Inter lost their 9th match in 27 Serie A matches this season after losing to Juventus 1-0 at home at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza thanks to a goal from Filip Kostic that never should have stood.

The Nerazzurri started the match decently creating a few chances but as has been the problem for two seasons now: they can’t capitalize on the chances.

Tonight it was Barella squandering a chance after linking up well with Lukaku, as well as Brozovic in the second half but overall Inter were poor in both phases.

And the match was completely conditioned by another scandalous refereeing decision which this fixture has seen so many of.

André Onana – 6,5: Poor positioning on the goal, but was blocked by Dumfries. Very vocal throughout match and made few decent saves.

Matteo Darmian – 5: Poor positioning on the goal, got lost in no man’s land. Decent defensive contributions otherwise.

Stefan de Vrij – 5: Kept Vlahovic quiet for the majority of the match, but was getting beat aerially too much. Nothing like the de Vrij we once knew.

Francesco Acerbi – 5,5: Been Inter’s best defender this season, despite questions over his arrival. Had some weary moments leading to opposition chances.

Denzel Dumfries – 4: Awful. Not Inter quality. Was absolutely lost on the goal and failed to mark his man several times leading to chances.

Nicolo Barella – 5,5: Started well taking good shots and troubling the keeper. Failed to win many of his duels and too many failed crosses. Lost his head.

Marcelo Brozovic – 6: Shined today despite a poor overall performance. Organized the midfield, got stuck in his tackles, held the tempo. Quality.

Hakan Calhanoglu – 5: Did well defensively, but extremely poor decision-making in the final third ruining chances. Made many important tackles.

Federico Dimarco – 5: Quiet performance on the left, failing to register an accurate cross. Subbed off due to injury, hopefully nothing serious with Gosens out.

Lautaro Martinez – 4: Yet another shocking display. Couldn’t seem to do any of the basics correctly, no shots on target, an absolute ghost.

Romelu Lukaku – 4,5: Started decently well, linking up nicely with Barella early on. And then nothing more. Poor hold up play, bad touches, no shots on target.

Danilo D’Ambrosio – 4: Replaced an injured Federico Dimarco in the 63′. Didn’t do much, and ended his night receiving a straight red card after an altercation with Paredes after the final whistle.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan – 5: Entered in the 63′ for Nicolo Barella. Failed to create chances for his team, and lost the ball far too much in the midfield. Slow today.

Joaquin Correa – N/A: Substituted on for Matteo Darmian in the 79′. Did not play enough to be able to be rated.

Edin Dzeko – N/A: Was brought on in the 79′ for Romelu Lukaku. Did not play enough to be able to be rated.

Raoul Bellanova – N/A: Came on in the 83′ for Denzel Dumfries. Did not play enough to be able to be rated.

Simone Inzaghi – 4: Sent out his best lineup with what he had. Awful substitutions and game management. Tactically outclassed today.

Daniele Chiffi – 3: No words. VAR decides to award a goal with two blatant handballs. Lost the game in the first half, too many fouls being let go. Horrible.

Inter – 4: Stale and timid performance. Despite a poor officiating decision, no evidence that Inter would ever find their way into this match and they didn’t.
