The form of wingback Denzel Dumries since the start of 2023 has been a problem for Inter not only on the pitch, but also in terms of the transfer market.

This is highlighted by Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the market value of the 26-year-old is now much closer to €20-25 million rather than the €50 million and beyond that the Nerazzurri had been seeking just a few months ago.

Dumfries has long looked to be one of the main candidates to be sold during the summer transfer window as Inter look to bring in a net transfer profit.

The Dutchman’s form at the World Cup for his national team led the Nerazzurri to set an asking price that was, at its peak, as high as €50-60 million amid interest from clubs in the Premier League as well as Bayern Munich.

However, the former PSV player has looked woefully out of form virtually since returning from the World Cup.

As a result, whilst there is still interest in Dumfries, it looks as though a sale would be at a much lower fee, with the Gazzetta suggesting that €20-25 million could be as much as the Nerazzurri can expect in terms of offers.
