Inter’s position is that the images available to the VAR in Sunday’s Serie A match against Juventus clearly show an Adrien Rabiot handball in the buildup to the Bianconeri’s goal, although they do not intend to press the matter further.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri are not aiming to make the incident an excuse for what was a poor overall display in the loss in any event.

The verdict of the VAR after a long check on Juventus’s goal on Sunday was that whilst there may have been contact on the ball by the arm of Bianconeri midfielder Rabiot, it was not clear enough to intervene and chalk off the goal.

Inter’s view is that this was flatly the wrong decision, as the images and video that have come out afterwards have shown that the Frenchman does indeed control the ball with his upper arm.

The Nerazzurri feel that they have fallen victim to another piece of erratic officiating in Serie A, albeit they will not go any further in their stance.
