Inter are still very much in the running to sign both Borussia Monchengladbacgh striker Marcus Thuram and Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino during the summer transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri have made the pair their two biggest targets to reinforce in attack in the summer, and that neither have made a decision on their futures yet.

Both Thuram and Firmino have made their intentions to leave their current clubs on free transfers at the end of the season when their current contracts run out clear.

In neither case have the players in question made a decision on which club they will join for next season.

Inter have been in talks with Thuram’s representatives clear, whilst they have also made their intentions clear to Firmino’s representatives since it has looked likely that he’ll be available during the summer.

In the case of Thuram, the Frenchman will wait until at least April to make a decision on his future, whilst Firmino is not in any hurry.

From Inter’s perspective, neither is anything like a certain signing, but the Nerazzurri feel that they have a real chance of signing either of the pair to replace whichever attacking players leave during the summer.
