Inter’s directors have been left disappointed and disillusioned with the squad following Sunday evening’s Serie A loss to Juventus, and every player’s position is under scrutiny.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews, who report that the defeat at the hands of the Bianconeri could be the last straw which prompts a summer clear-out as “no player is safe” in the eyes of the management.

Whilst there have been any number of difficult moments for Inter this season as the team has had to deal with major setbacks particularly in the league, the sense of gloom after Sunday’s loss in the Derby d’Italia is palpable.

According to Mediaset, the feeling among the Nerazzurri’s directors is that the team simply looked tired and out of sorts in a way that was unacceptable, regardless of a bit of refereeing controversy.

Accordingly, the broadcaster suggests, the mood of the Nerazzurri directors could be towards not extending the contracts of the likes of Edin Dzeko and Stefan de Vrij.

Moreover, the likes of Marcelo Brozovic, Denzel Dumfries and Joaquin Correa who already appeared to have one foot out the door could be among those who Inter’s directors will make an effort to cash in on the summer if they feel that a squad refresh is long overdue, according to Mediaset.
