Udinese Director Pierpaolo Marino On Inter Milan Target Rodrigo Becao: “We’d Like To Extend His Contract But Talks Stalling”

Udidnese Director Pierpaolo Marino is hoping that his team can convince Inter-linked defender Rodrigo Becao to extend his contract past the end of June 2024, although admits that as of yet little progress has been made in talks.
Speaking to UdineseTV, via FCInter1908, the Friulani director updated on the situation of Becao, making clear that the contract extension talks with the Brazilian have slowed down a lot.
Becao has been one of the names linked with Inter as a possible replacement for Milan Skriniar during the summer transfer window.
One of the reasons why the 26-year-old could be a very much attainable target for the Nerazzurri this summer is that his current contract is set to expire at the end of next season, meaning that Udinese could be prepared to sell rather than risk losing him on a free transfer.
If the Friulani could convince Becao to put pen to paper on a new deal, however, this would become a lot less likely.
“Becao is a player who we want to keep and extend his contract, we’re in talks but at the moment they’re stalling,” Marino updated.
