One of Inter’s big problems since they’ve returned from the winter break has been the fact that they cannot seem to produce a reaction once they go behind.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who note that the Nerazzurri have come back to get a result just once in 2023, in a 2-1 victory over Cremonese.

When Inter have managed to score first, they have proven adept at digging in protecting their lead, as gritty 1-0 wins over Napoli, AC Milan, and Atalanta have attested to, whilst they hung on for an entire second leg away to Porto in this fashion.

However, when the opposition are the first to break through it has been a different story.

Bologna, Spezia, Empoli, and Juventus have all scored first against Inter, and in these instances the Nerazzurri have hardly managed to quicken the tempo as they’ve searched for an equalizer, losing all four of those matches.
