Inter striker Edin Dzeko has said yes to the Nerazzurri’s offer of a one-season contract extension.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the 37-year-old is ready accept a one-season extension worth around €5 million net per season, and that only the final approval of Inter President Steven Zhang is needed before pen is put to paper.

Dzeko’s current contract runs out at the end of June, but the club have been working to find an agreement with the former Roma striker on a new deal in talks over the past few weeks.

Both the wages and the duration of the deal have been negotiated between the parties, with the Nerazzurri not keen to hand Dzeko a contract of longer than one season given the player’s age.

According to the Gazzetta, the Bosnian has accepted the offer of a new one-year deal worth around €5 million net per season, and both parties are happy pending the green light from Zhang.
