Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella can still remember his Serie A goal against Hellas Verona in the fall of 2019, one of the most memorable of his Nerazzurri career to date.

Speaking on the Footsteps program on InterTV, via FCInterNews, the 26-year-old looked back on his stunning match-winner with which he really announced himself in front of the San Siro in hist first season at the club.

Upon his arrival at Inter from Cagliari in the summer of 2019, Barella quickly established himself as having a key role in midfield, although his goalscoring prowess was not necessarily a trait that immediately became apparent as he tended to operate deeper.

However, the former Rossoblu midfielder has always had an eye for goal, something that has also been apparent this season.

Against the Gialloblu in a 2-1 league victory in November of his first season, Barella proved to be his side’s match-winner, and in impressive style.

“I can still remember my first goal for Inter came against Slavia Prague,” the 26-year-old said.

“And then, in Serie A, there was the goal against Verona, I can still remember the atmosphere when the shot went in, the San Siro was packed, I had goosebumps,” he added.
