Inter are fairly optimistic that defender Alessandro Bastoni and wingback Robin Gosens will be able to return from their respective injuries not long after the international break.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the pair are training alone for the time being but that their recoveries are progressing well, whilst the condition of Milan Skriniar and Federico Dimarco remains to be seen.

Bastoni missed out on Inter’s last match before the break against Juventus with a sprain to the thigh flexors in his left leg.

Meanwhile, Gosens had been out for a couple of matches with a strain to the medial gastrocnemius muscle in his left calf.

Neither are back in full training with the rest of their squad yet, but the feeling is that they are progressing well in their recoveries, and stand a good chance of being fit and available immediately after the break.
