Inter striker Edin Dzeko is keen on promoting World Down Syndrome day, an occasion meant to encourage equality and treatment for all people around the world with down syndrome.

The 37-year-old Nerazzurri striker posted a message on his Instagram account accompanied with a picture of himself wearing asymmetrically-coloured socks and in Bosnian national team training kit as part of a campaign to promote the day.

The caption to the post contained the Inter striker’s message, which read, “Today is the World Day of Persons with Down Syndrome. Today is also the day when colorful socks are put on, thus sending a message about embracing diversity.”

“We must all work together to achieve equal rights and dignity of people with Down syndrome, and better conditions and quality of their lives.”
