There is still a real chance of Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie joining Inter in the summer despite the fact that he has been getting more playing time at the Camp Nou.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that it remains the case that the 26-year-old former AC Milan midfielder’s will could still be decisive.

Whilst a move for Kessie to Inter had been seriously discussed during the January transfer window, one of the main reasons for this was the fact that the player had been receiving limited playing time over the first half of the season.

Since then, the Ivorian has found more of a role for himself, particularly due to some injuries in the Blaugranas’ midfield.

From Barcelona’s perspective, this means that the La Liga giants would be less open to a low-cost loan deal, and would expect that at the very least a loan of the 26-year-old would contain a purchase option worth €25-30 million.

However, if a swap deal involving Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic were to be offered, then a deal for Kessie could be brought within reach for the Nerazzurri.

In any event, the decisive factor is likely to be whether Kessie has decided to stay at Barcelona due to receiving more playing time, or whether he would still prefer a move to Inter.
