Inter have yet to make a decision on the future of captain Samir Handanovic, as the priority has been to deal with the situations of other players at the club.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri will sort out the Slovenian’s future in the coming weeks, but as of yet his status is up in the air.

Handanovic’s current contract with Inter is set to run out at the end of June, and he has not yet been offered a new deal.

Given that the 38-year-old has been pushed to backup goalkeeper since the arrival of Andre Onana from Ajax in the summer, it is not certain whether he will remain or not, and both the club and player have a decision to make.

According to the Gazzetta, the situation is not likely to be resolved immediately, as the club instead attend to other situations.
